A correlation receiver capable of receiving pulsed microwave signals having amplitudes substantially below the noise level is proposed and experimentally realized. The device is based on the parametric interaction of two contra-propagating spin waves excited by the received microwave signal and the reference pulsed signal, containing information about the received signal shape, in a ferrite film waveguide. The output nonlinear correlation signal having the doubled carrier frequency and the signal-to-noise ratio enhanced by several orders of magnitude is received by a dielectric resonator coupled to an output microwave transmission line.  相似文献

The effect of finite energy of intravalley acoustic phonons on the electric field dependence of the temperature of the non-equilibrium carriers in a quantum surface has been studied here. The calculations have been made, for a rather pure material, at low lattice temperature. Numerical results are obtained for GaAs and Si. The results are interesting being significantly different from what one obtains by neglecting the phonon energy.  相似文献

For analyzing the checker-board like modulation of the local density of states (LDOS) around a vortex observed in the slightly overdoped Bi2Sr2CaCu2Ox, we examined the effect of pseudogap state of high-Tc superconductors to the LDOS around the vortex. We first derived the Bogoliubov-de Gennes equation for d-wave superconductivity (d-SC) in the presence of d-spin density wave (d-SDW). Using the Fourier–Bessel expansion, we solved this equation for a single vortex state, numerically. We found that the peak of the bound states around E = 0 becomes small and modulation of the LDOS is observed for larger d-SDW order parameter.  相似文献

The equal width equation is solved numerically by Petrov-Galerkin method using linear hat function and quadratic B-spline function as trial and test functions respectively. Product approximation has been used in this method. A linear stability analysis of the scheme is shown to be conditionally stable. Test problems including the single soliton and the interaction of solitons are used to validate the suggested method, which is found to be accurate and efficient. The Maxwellian initial condition pulse and the development of an undular bore are also studied.  相似文献

In the generation of discrete tones by subsonic impinging jets, there exists a difference of opinion as how the feedback is achieved, i.e., the path of the feedback acoustic waves is whether inside the jet or outside the jet? The only available model (Tam and Ahuja model) for the prediction of an average subsonic jet impingement tone frequency assumes that the upstream part of the feedback loop is closed by an upstream propagating neutral wave of the jet. But, there is no information about the plate geometry in the model. The present study aims at understanding the effect of the plate geometry (size and co-axial hole in the plate) on the self-excitation process of subsonic impinging jets and the path of the acoustic feedback to the nozzle exit. The present results show that there is no effect of plate diameter on the frequency of the self-excitation. A new type of tones is generated for plates with co-axial hole (hole diameter is equal to nozzle exit diameter) for Mach numbers 0.9 and 0.95, in addition to the axisymmetric and helical mode tones observed for plates without co-axial hole. The stability results show that the Strouhal number of the least dispersive upstream propagating neutral waves match with the average Strouhal number of the new tones observed in the present experiments. The present study extends the validity of the model of Tam and Ahuja to a plate with co-axial hole (annular plate) and by doing so, we indirectly confirmed that the major acoustic feedback path to the nozzle exit is inside the jet.  相似文献

Voltammetry of immobilized microparticles (VMP) has been used in this work for the quantitative determination of tin and lead particles in their binary alloys. Carbon paste electrodes, which contained small amounts of tin and lead or their mixtures, were used as working electrodes and square wave voltammograms of each electrode were recorded. Quantification was performed using optimum experimental conditions, obtained by an experimental design technique. The calibration was made by measuring the percentage peak height of each metal taking the sum of peak currents of the both metals as 100 %. The results were compared with quantitative results of X‐ray fluorescence (XRF) technique to evaluate the capability of VMP method in its quantitative determination of solid samples.  相似文献

This paper presents a novel non-contact method for evaluating the resonant frequency of a microstructure, Firstly, the microstructure under test is excited by ultrasonic waves. This excitation method does not impose any undefined load on the specimen like the electrostatic excitation and also this is the first actual use of ultrasonic wave for exciting a microstructure in the literature. Secondly, the amplitudes of the microstructure are determined by image edge detection using a Mexican hat wavelet transform on the vibrating images of the microstructure. The vibrating images are captured by a CCD camera when the microstructure is vibrated by ultrasonic waves at a series of discrete high frequencies (〉30 kHz). Upon processing the vibrating images, the amplitudes at various excitation frequencies are obtained and an amplitude-frequency spectrum is obtained from which the resonant frequency is subsequently evaluated. A micro silicon structure consisting of a perforated plate (192 × 192 μm) and two cantilever beams (76 × 43 μm) which is about 4 μm thickness is tested. Since laser interferometry is not required, thermal effects on a test object can be avoided. Hence, the setup is relatively simple. Results show that the proposed method is a simple and effective approach for evaluating the dynamic characteristics of microstructures.  相似文献
